    Position Overview

    The Chief Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, safety, and physical condition of the hotel. This role leads the engineering department and ensures all building systems, guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are maintained to brand, safety, and ownership standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure all hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, kitchen, laundry, and exterior systems) are operated safely and efficiently.

    • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.

    • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate engineering staff.

    • Lead capital projects, renovations, PIPs, and property rehabilitation.

    • Coordinate vendors, inspections, audits, and compliance requirements.

    • Maintain logs including Boiler Maintenance, Preventative Guestroom Maintenance, Emergency Systems inspections.

    • Respond to building emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.

    • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

    Qualifications

    • Minimum five years hotel engineering experience.

    • Supervisory experience required.

    • Strong HVAC, electrical, plumbing knowledge.

    • Ability to work flexible schedules and respond to emergencies.

    Education

    • High school diploma required.

    • Trade school or certifications preferred.

    Position Overview

    The Facilities Coordinator supports both strategic and day-to-day operations by managing service request workflows, facilitating communication, tracking performance, and ensuring tenant needs are clearly communicated and addressed in a timely manner. This role serves as a key coordination and communication hub between tenants, facilities leadership, and engineering teams within a Class A commercial office building.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage intake, documentation, prioritization, and routing of tenant facilities service requests through the CMMS or work order platform.

    • Communicate service status, timelines, and resolutions to authorized tenant contacts professionally and consistently.

    • Perform routine check-ins with key tenant stakeholders to assess satisfaction and identify emerging concerns.

    • Coordinate closely with engineering, service coordination, and management teams to align priorities and expectations.

    • Track service trends, recurring issues, and response metrics to support reporting and continuous improvement efforts.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

    • Experience in facilities coordination, property management, or client-facing operations.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

    Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Additional coursework or experience in facilities or property operations preferred.
