Solidcore Announced for 1405 Point
Solidcore will be launching its first Baltimore studio at Harbor Point’s upcoming 1405 Point apartment building, in an announcement made today by Beatty Development Group.
Tentatively scheduled to open year-end 2017, Solidcore will lease 2,438 square feet of space on Point Street. Solidcore provides high-intensity, low-impact workout classes on their custom machines specifically designed to give the most challenging workout while moving at a slow pace. Each session is a 50-minute, resistance-based workout that aims to target slow-twitch muscles in order to create a stronger, leaner body. The nightclub-like atmosphere invites beginners, experts, and anyone in between to sweat it out with the help of their dedicated team of personal trainers.
“Baltimore has been on our list for quite some time, as it is a natural extension from our D.C. headquarters,” said Anne Mahlum, Founder and CEO of Solidcore. “We were patient waiting for the right location and we’re thrilled to be opening at Harbor Point.”
“Baltimore is becoming an increasingly wellness-minded community, and that’s certainly something that we want Harbor Point to be at the forefront of,” said Michael Beatty, President of Beatty Development Group. “What really makes Solidcore attractive is their unique, innovative approach to fitness – the same sort of one-of-a-kind experience that we prioritize here at Harbor Point.”
Solidcore is the second tenant at 1405 Point, joining previously announced Vida Taco Bar. 1405 Point is the luxury waterfront apartment building quickly nearing completion at Harbor Point. The 17-story building will feature 289 apartments, a rooftop pool and almost 18,000 square feet of street-level retail space. Located between Harbor East and historic Fell’s Point, Harbor Point will be a vibrant, highly-integrated neighborhood with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
