Vida Taco Bar to Open Harbor Point Location

Vida Taco Bar will make its Baltimore debut at Harbor Point, in an announcement made today by Beatty Development Group.

Tentatively scheduled to open in December 2017, Vida Taco Bar will lease 3,659 square feet of space inside of 1405 Point, located on Harbor Point’s Central Plaza just southeast of the Exelon Building. The popular Annapolis, Maryland-based restaurant is billed as a “farm-to-taco” establishment, with a menu that features local, sustainable products whenever possible. Vida Taco will offer innovative tacos and shared plates that respect the traditions of Mexican cuisine, but leave plenty of room for experimentation. Similar care is taken with the bar program, where handcrafted margaritas are made using mixes created from scratch daily.

“Harbor Point is becoming a destination for the surrounding community.” said Andrew Fox, Partner, Vida Taco Bar. “Vida Taco is a social gathering place that helps bring communities together. We do this by serving food made daily with fresh ingredients in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We look forward to bringing that same sense of fun and quality to Harbor Point and being a part of Baltimore’s exciting revitalization.”

“With Harbor Point, our goal is to establish a new urban neighborhood that is wholly dedicated to supporting local sourcing and sustainability, especially with our food offerings,” said Michael Beatty, President of Beatty Development Group. “Bringing Vida Taco to Harbor Point is a perfect example of those efforts in action – a home-grown restaurant with a commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. It’s a great pairing.”

Vida Taco Bar is the first retail tenant at 1405 Point, the luxury waterfront apartment building currently under construction at Harbor Point. Scheduled for completion in late 2017, the 17-story building will feature 289 apartments, a rooftop pool, and a fitness center, as well as additional retail space. Located along Baltimore’s scenic waterfront between Harbor East and historic Fells Point, Harbor Point will be a vibrant, highly-integrated neighborhood with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
