New Renderings Offer Exciting Glimpse of T. Rowe Price HQ and Point Park

During the December 2020 session of Baltimore’s Urban Design & Architecture Advisory Panel (UDAAP), representatives from Beatty Development Group, Kohn Pedersen Fox, and iO Studios offered the first look at the new T. Rowe Price global headquarters at Harbor Point, as well as the 4.5-acre Point Park.

Beatty Development Group is the lead developer for the pair of projects at Harbor Point. “Today was the kickoff for a truly exciting next phase of development at Harbor Point,” said Michael Beatty, President, Beatty Development Group. “This new HQ, when paired with Point Park, will completely reshape our growing neighborhood and positively impact the city of Baltimore.”

Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) is the design architect for the new T. Rowe Price global headquarters. “The T. Rowe Price headquarters building seeks to create a hyper porosity, both visual and physical, from the Central Plaza down to the harbor,” said Jeffrey Kenoff, Principal, Kohn Pedersen Fox. “The facade specifically reduces the scale of the massing through a cadence of grey double height bays that echo the city’s historical DNA and industrial heritage.”

iO Studio, Inc. is the landscape architect for Point Park. “Point Park is poised to be the most important open space to be constructed in our City in the last 50 years,” said Richard Jones, Founder and CEO, iO Studio, Inc. “We are delighted to be part of the design team and are excited to bring to Baltimore a waterfront experience that leverages the best qualities of our city and region.”
